Set a watch

If the day of the week is incorrect, make sure the date is set correctly. The format on the Casio CA-53W is year first, then month, then day last.

You can try taking the battery out and waiting a minute or two then replace but you should probably have a watch maker/technician "AC" or clear the watch. This involves resetting the circuit board and only takes a moment. I would also have them reseal the watch and pressure test it as Freestyle's are made to be in water and you will want to maintain the water resistance.

ANALOG TIME
Pull CROWN and turn to set HOUR and MINUTE hands. TIME AND DATE A. Press and hold SET. SECONDS digits will flash. B. Press SPLIT/RESET to set SECONDS to zero. C. Press MODE to select HOURS. D. Press SPLIT/RESET to advance hours digits. Go through 12 hours for AM or PM. E. Press MODE to select MINUTES, press SPLIT/RESET to advance. F. Repeat to set MONTH, DATE, DAY, 12- or 24-hour time display. G. Press SET when done. BASIC OPERATIONS Press MODE to cycle through CHRONO, TIMER, and ALARM modes. Press INDIGLO to illuminate watch face. In any mode, press MODE to view time display. Press any button to stop alarm or timer beeps. INDIGLO INDIGLO CHRONOGRAPH A. Press MODE until CHRONO appears. B. When alarm time is reached, watch will beep for 20 seconds, or until any button is pushed. Alarm will repeat every 24 hours until deactivated. INDIGLO® NIGHT-LIGHT WITH NIGHT-MODE® FEATURE A. Press INDIGLO to activate light. Press and hold INDIGLO for three seconds (beep will sound) to activate or de-activate NIGHT-MODE® feature. C. While in NIGHT-MODE® feature, press any button to illuminate watch face for 3 seconds. Chime on Alarm on If your watch is water-resistant, meter marking or ( ) is indicated. Watch is water-resistant only as long as lens, push buttons and case remain intact. 2. Watch is not a diver watch and should not be used for diving. 3. Rinse watch with fresh water after exposure to salt water. 4. Shock resistance will be indicated on the watch face or caseback. Watches are designed to pass ISO test for shock resistance. However, care whould be taken to avoid damaging crystal.

Setting the alarm:

1. Pull the crown to the 2nd "click" (the possition you adjust the time) (Carefull: The seconds hand has to be on "12")
2. Press repeatedly button "B" to set ALARM hands to the time indicated by the main time hands (The ALARM hands move quickly if button B is kept pressed)
3. Push the crown to normal possition
4. Pull the crown to the 1st "click".
5. Press repeatedly button "B" to set the desired alarm time. (The ALARM hands move quickly if button B is kept pressed)
6. Push back the crown in to normal position.

At the designated time the alarm rings for 20 seconds, and it is automatically disengaged as it stops. To stop it manually, press button A or B.

hold adjust button down at same time press mode and start/stop button until it beeps.
