Barrel ? The inner spin basket or the outer tub ? Both require a lot of work. But everything has be removed, disconnected and or replaced. Front panel, door, rear panel, pulley, belt, flip up the top, all hoses and harnesses, top and bottom, front tub cover, bellows, un lip from the outer tub, cement block for weight, shocks on bottom and springs on top !
If you can find just the rack seal, that's awesome. Most folks will try to sell you a rebuild kit or a reman rack. Most cars involve just separating the outer tie rod from the steering knuckle, sliding the bellows boot off the rack, then removing the inner tie rod with the outer tie rod and bellows attached (so you don't throw your toe adjustment out too much). Most rack seals are just like other seals and can be removed with a pry bar although there are specialty seal removers if you want to get the old one out without too much damage. Installation goes along the same lines as with most other seals. Light taps on the seal installation tool (I use deep sockets) while making sure it goes in evenly and completely. Rule of thumb, take a quick picture before in case you forget how to put it all back.
happens very often, you must free it, i use a torch , clamp the caliper bracket to a vise and with a propane bottle torch or equivalent heat it up until you can spin it loose using a pair of vise grip pliers. once out the whole must be cleaned out, i use a drill bit the size of the slide pin.also use emery cloth sand paper to clean the pin.the bellows rubber seal has to be replaced if damaged auto zone stores sell these as a kit.if the pin does not come out the whole bracket has to be replaced. good luck please rate this answer.

Tilt the machine back to create more space between the front on the
door and the outer drum. Remove the screws for the kickplate and remove
the kickplate for easier access. Open the door and remove the spring
clamp holding the bellows to the door opening lip. Push the bellows
into the drum to get access to the outside/ rear of the bellows (where
it connects to the drum). There you will find another clamp which you
loosen/ remove with a socket. Some models have an overfill tube on the
top of the bellows (remove it from the bellows). At this point you
should be able to completely remove the bellows.
Align the new
bellows to the outer tub. Attach and tighten the inner clamp (be
careful not to over tighten and periodically check the bellows and
clamp placement as you're tightening to make sure it doesn't slip off).
Attach the overfill tube (if equipped). Lay the machine back to level
and install the front of the bellows to the door opening lip.
Re-install the spring clamp by starting at the top and working your way
down both sides (may be easier with 2 pairs of hands). Be careful not
to overstretch the spring on the clamp.
Test with a quick fill
and let it agitate for a few minutes to ensure there are no leaks (be
ready to hit cancel and have a few towels just in case it leaks).
Re-install the kickplate, make sure machine is still leveled correctly
by trying to rock it diagonally from the top. Let me know if you need more assistance. Good luck!
Unfortunately the service manual will not tell you how to replace the bellows.

you must remove the large front panel. if you can manage that the rest will become clear to you. dont forget to unscrew the door lock before befor removing the front panel. you will find three screws at the bottom of the front panel under the kick panel, remove them and the front panel will come off.
When you get the bellows repair kit for your model, it should have the instructions and all the necessary parts for replacement. You may need to use some muscle to replace it and may take 1 to 2 hours to complete. If you have trouble finding the part or if there are not sufficient instructions included, then email back! ok?
I need some one to tell me how to install the rubber seal on a bosch maxx Eurowasher front loader washing machine. Part of the seal ripped off so water leaks out. Its only 6 months old and its not covered by warranty.
