I'm loading the spring into the housing just by winding it in. ... Push the pull cord out first and then the pipe ...
Can be a couple issues. The obvious is seized. The other is a broken jammed connecting rod. I would put some oil down the plug hole and let it sit overnight. Then after a day or so...try again with the wratchet. In both directions, forward then backward just to try and free it.
How long has it setup? Could be varnished up, maybe broken ring, damaged needle bearings. Remove muffler an try to spray some cleaner or fuel in port to free it.
Remove the hex bolts holding the plastic leaf blower housing in place with your hex wrench. You may wish to cut the cord with your scissors and loosen the bolt or screw securing the rope assembly with your hex wrench or screwdriver.
2 Remove the spring assembly carefully. Do not remove the spring, only remove the assembly.
3 Remove the old cord from the leaf blower pull cord assembly by gently pulling it away from the assembly with your hands. Notice the direction the pull cord is wound, as this becomes important in the next step.
4 Wind the new pull cord in the same direction you removed it in Step 3. Make sure the inner end of the pull cord secures in the faster or slot provided on the pull cord assembly. This varies depending on the leaf blower manufacturer.
5 Replace the pull cord pulley and place over the spring. This is the white plastic spool.
6 Rotate the pull cord assembly two or three times in the same direction the cord pulls wearing safety goggles and work gloves. Reinsert the center screw by screwing it in place with your screwdriver; this holds the pulley assembly together
7 Insert the leaf blowers cord end into the end of the handle opening. Secure the handle by tying a knot at the bottom of the new pull cord; this prevents the handle from being pulled off the pull cord while you start the leaf blower.
8 Place the pull cord assembly back onto your leaf blower in its designated area and secure by refastening the four hex nuts with your hex wrench.
9 Replace the housing cover of the leaf blower and refasten the hex nuts with your hex wrench. You removed the housing cover in Step 1.
As you pull the cord do you feel a thud thud? if not you don't have compresion. However take the carb apart and clean it with carb cleaner it only takes one small peice of **** to cause trouble.Dennis
pull your spasrk plug out and see if it pulls over then, cylinder might be fullof gas causing hydro lock condition,if so pullit till cylinder dries out then re-install plug and try starting. if all is good check your fuel cap to make sure the vent is working! If it's not venting this causes vacumn that pull fuel out of tank to cylinder after it is shut off...........Good Luck 2StrokeJim
One suggestion, unscrew the spark plug and reconnect the high voltage wire. In a very dark area move the plug so that the plug thread touches some metal on the engine. Pull the starter cord. If you don't see a spark, remove the two screws on the handle and see if two wires are attached to the Stop Engine Switch. Remove one wire and bend it away from metal and try to see spark when pulling the start cord. If spark occurs, the Switch is shorted and needs replacing.
