Hi, I have a Toshiba Satellite L305-S5944 laptop with a VGA video output (running Vista) -- I use a vga-->s-video cord to connect it to my Panasonic Viera 42" plasma tv. I go to personalize, connect to an external monitor and it detects my TV. Now, on my tv I see 3 screensaver images (tall, and narrow, no desktop icons, and nothing changes on the tv when I try to adjust my display settings - and there is no color. I've been through a lot of other posts and have tried everything I can think of -- HELP!!!

1.You may have the magnet of a speaker too close to the TV.
2.Turn off other electrical devices in the house one at a time.
3.Faulty cable.
Puzzler.

Help! My Plasma by Magnavox is putting black verticle lines on the right side of the screen - comes and goes - and I replaced the entire Direct TV-HD unit - wires, everything - and had TV company repair - and it still came back. The TV repair refuses to take TV back because it does not show up when they come. Although I videotaped it and showed them which has the date and time - they still refused to take it - and tried to get me to sign a paper saying it was working while they were there - which of course I refused to sign - so they left and nastily said they will not be back-find someone else. I still have the lines - and do not know what to do! Can anyone help?

hello, you have a either your su, sd or sc boards fualty and it is a driver sos1 thats what the manual reads the best thing to do if your not electronically inclined or able to fix it is to get a service manual and make sure it is for your specific model and size you will find what the 7 blink codes mean, on my side i have a 42 in pana the service manual for this set and your is similar so since it is not the same model i cant tell you exactly what the truoble is but your best bet is to find a service manual find the 7 blink fualt then without getting ripped off you will know what the service man needs to do if you dont know or cant replace the parts yourself that is besides having to download firmware from your computer to a sd card and update your set but you need to solve the blinking code first it may solve the entire issue. the tv should come on when you resolve the blink codes or replace the fualty board or boards
