C4200 CODE IS FOR A LASER UNIT PROBLEM, IF IT WONT
RESET BY TURNING IT OFF AND ON THE LASER UNIT NEEDS
TO BE REPLACED. EXPENSIVE PART FOR A COPIER THAT OLD.
To reset this error hit 10871087 this will put the unit in Maint. Mode. Then press 906 then press start.Execute will appear on the screen press it. Either the machine will turn off by itself or it will say on the screen to turn the unit off then on using the power switch on the side of the unit. If the code comes back after all this either the fixing unit or the power supply are bad.
Hello, This error C4200 indicates a problem with the main Laser Scanner Unit. The laser scanner functions to image onto the drum in the copier. It scans at a high rate of spped, the error indicates it is in trouble.
The Laser scanner would need to be changed.
It is also possible the main PCB is failing (remote chance)
try doing a reset... with the copy screen on press 10871087 then when screen changes enter 906 then press enter then start then enter... if that fixes it run to the store and get you a nice expensive surge protector... if that does not fix it then your main board is fried...
