Maytag Neptune MAH5500B Front Load Washer Logo

MAH3000AWW My Washer completes its cycle and every once in a while it is till full of water. I just start the cycle over and it will work fine for days and then happen again randomly. I replaced the control board and wax motor a couple of years ago. This problem just started a few weeks ago. The belt seems to squeek more now. Any thoughts?

By the way, This happens on larger loads.

I have the same problem. I checked the R13 resistor and it looks good. Haven't put a meter to it yet. I haven't replaced the wax motor yet but the door does lock and I assume if it didn't work the door wouldn't lock. This has happened before ... like your prb it doesn't drain sometimes. All I had to do was as you said by selecting spin but this time and the last 30 times last night it didn't work. I am going to replace the wax motor tomorrow and get a price on a board.

Went through the same routine, first repaired the upper control board R11/Q6 issue and replaced wax motor.

Worked for a couple year and quit again so I bought a new board, close to $300 I think it made a huge difference I think they changed the programming to spin out better.

I replaced the wax motor and so far it is working fine. Wax motor must have been weak and didn't go out far enough to hit the switch.

Just replace the wax motor as I did .... cost me $10.00 .

It came with instructions that were easy enough to follow. Just remember to unplug the washer first. Good luck!

Replace both the main control board and the wax motor. This sounds like a computer chip malfunction

As far as the squeak, make sure it is not the bearing located at the back of the tub under the large pulley.

My maytag neptune mah3000aww spins slowly then reverses, then spins slowly. will not reach regular spinning speed. What is the problem?

it could be a balance problem. Most machines are programmed to abort fast spin if the drum is unbalanced. This can be caused by too much in there, or possible the contents have clumped together somehow. Try a spin cycle only with an empty machine and see if it reaches full spin

Won't progress beyond wash cycle -- start light is flashing. Cannot switch from "normal" to delicate or any other choice. Maytag Neptune TL FAV6800AW

So I understand the issue. Does the wash cycle start up? By that I mean if you release the washer top from the base do the tumblers turn once the water fill cycle is complete?

If you don't have the FAV6800A/FAV9800A Service Manual (you can't get it on line anymore) see this post Clutch Fix I describe how to release the washer top from the base to observe the wash basket. Don't raise during the water fill cycle wait till that completes.

Does the key pad beep as you press the other cycle select key pads?

This could be a Control Board issue...........Rich

Washing not getting clean

ok, try this before you consider removing the bowl. 1st-- buy 2 pkts of bicarb of soda. 2nd---make sure machine has no clothes in it. 3rd-- empty the 2 pkts of bicarb of soda into the bowl. 4th-- select traditional wash mode , high water level, hot water fill. 5th-- push start. 6th-- let it fill and wash for about 5 to 10 min, then turn the machine off. DO NOT LET THE WASH CYCLE GET TO THE DRAIN OUT STAGE. ok now the machine is full water and bicarb of soda and turned off, LEAVE IT TILL THE NEXT MORNING.-- In the morning select traditional wash mode, high water level, hot fill , then push the start button. let it go thru the complete cycle and all the lint and dirt should be removed from the bowl. by the way once it has started to wash lift the lid and see if the agitator is working. good luck and please reply to tell me how you got on.

I have a Maytag MAH3000AWW Washer. It will start

That is a common issue that is caused by the control board of the machine. You may need to request service to fix this issue. Usually it may be caused by a resistor. Replacing the resistor may make the machine to work for a while but the repair will not last longer. I believe that the machine control board next to be replaced. Something else may be causing the control board to go bad.

Perhaps you were able to feel a burning smell from the washer machine in previous days.

Standing water may be caused by the control board failure because the pump will not operate properly.

MAH3000AWW Does not spin fast enough on spin cycle Clothes are still full of water when done.

hi there ..sounds like your appliance is not spinning at all........(a) check if your drain pump is working correctly..(simply fill water and turn to drain)..(b) possiblity that the clutch drive mechanism is badly worn and needs replaced

Maytag Neptune washer MAH3000AWW seems to backfill after cycle

It could be a leaking water valve. The MAH3000 has two flavors, the earlier model had (2) extra wax motors in the soap dispenser for the bleach and softener controls and the newer ones have the bleach and softener valves integrated into the water valve assembly.

Contact me via the www.neptunehelp.com site and let me know which serial number you have and I can detemrine which water valve you will need.

See www.neptunehelpsong.com for a funny new song dedicated to Maytag Neptune owners explaining the door latch wax motor issue.

Fisher Paykel will not drain

I had the same problem. After cut the power off for at least 60 seconds and then back on, as the manual suggests, the problem remained. Therefore I started putting the clothes out and bailing the water out. Once the water was down about half way the pump started working. I suspect the sensor was "stuck". I cycled the washer without clothes and it worked fine. Still working after several loads of laundry. The water level sensor will probably need replacing sometime soon.

Neptune MAH3000AWW will start to fill when start is pressed, but stops seconds later

either a faulty pressure switch / pot or faulty controller - either way you will need to call someone in.
