Panasonic TH-37PA20 with a 12 Flashing

Hi I have a Panasonic TH-37PA20 with a 12 Flashing light problem. From what I have heard, this is something to do with a 5 Volts problem. Could someone confirm that and where should I start looking on the PA Board? No Resistors or capacitors seems burned out.

View it in 'Flip card' option, which can be selected from the drop down box menu by the [Sidebar] tag, at the left top left corner of the display window. It will make search easy. Some times, the ads attached with each posts both at the right and bottom, might help you to find the availability of spare parts. There are more than 640 posts to different brand TVs now. Will be updated daily. Faults and blinking codes; locating faulty board etc are described in detail. Pull up older posts there. You can narrow down the search for the faulty board.

Normally 6 blinks indicates Driver SOS 1 SU / SD / SC Boards
(SC energy recovery circuit)

hi Tracie,
is the set making a clicking noise?
is the power light flashing on the front?
or no power light at all just dead?
if the set is just dead, just put your ear to the back vents can you hear like a very faint screaming noise and can you smell and burning in the vent?
if so it just could be capacitors on the power board.
if its clicking the that will need a service kit on the power supply board.
if the power led is flashing then you will need to count how many flashers from start to finish when you first turn set on.

Something worth trying that worked for me and costs nothing is; remove all leads except the power lead. Hold the on/off button on the TV in until the light stops flashing, release button and and press again. If it fires up your good to go if not your nearly finished disconnecting everything ready to send off for repair! Good luck, BTW the number of flashes indicate a fault code that you can look up online.

I have a Panasonic Viera TH-42PZ77U, when I try to power it up it wll click as if it was going start and about 2 sec. later it ckicks again and the red light by the power switch flashes

Something inside has failed.
The flashing is a code for the repair engineer to tell him/her what is wrong.

Just bought panasonic th-42x20k, when turn on hear a clicking sound and then turn off, red light under screen flashing 7 times

Red light flashing indicates that "SC voltage is floating". I'd recommend replacing the SC, SD and SU boards. Also know as the Y sustain (SC), Upper and lower buffer boards (SD, SU).
I suggest you contact your local Panasonic Service Agent as parts are only available from Panasonic and are quite expensive.

I have no power to my 40 inch panasonic plasma tv. there is no red or green light

hi, no power has to do with your tv,s power supply, the trouble may be as small as a fuse or it may be the power supply needs replacing, this is your best bet, I would check that part first, if you had blinks or lights flashing then your problem would be with the other boards if your attempting to fix this set yourself it is dangerous voltages inside and you will need a service manual for trouble shooting, once you replace the power supply if something else dosent work then you will have flashing lights that will pin point the board affected. hope this helps. happy holidays

Yes, the unit has a problem. I work for Panasonic in New Zealand and the unit needs to go in for servicing. 10 flashing lights means a fault has occurred (if I was at work I could tell you what 10 flashing lights means).it should be repairable.
