Hi,
I just had the same problem. June 2017.
My ASE-6XN is purely an emergency set up and has been in my car 15 years + I was not using it enough so they cut me off although there was £20 balance in the PAYG sim
I do understand the Cell system some.
Firm discussions with Vodafone produced a replacement SIM but it was REJECTED by the phone.
I realised " after a while " that the older ASE-6XN needed a 2G SIM. The replacement I was given was a later G3.
This is no good in the older 6XN.
Vodafone could not now offer a 2G Sim even though they had caused my problem.
I ordered a G2 Sim from GiffGaff.
It worked immediately it was registered. Calls are 15p a min as against Vodafones 35p.
So I seem up and running again.
No help from VF
So try GiffGaff 2G Sim
"emergency calls only" means your SIM doesn't get connected to the phone or you have EEPROM code corrupted. No way to make it work on your own - get your device serviced at the local repair shop.
I have a similar problem with my Samsung on Vodafone, but the "emergency calls only" error message. Solution is to re-boot it by power off and on. Problem appears irregularly, but functions OK once re-booted. If this solves your problem, then I assume that the other error messages are simply the sort of behaviour associated with computers hanging etc.
Sim Lock also known as Network lock,You need to Unlock Your Alcatel Phone from network lock to use with other GSM Network Sim card. What is Mobile Phone model? It locked which country,Network? Buy the Unlock code from the site Onlinegsmunlock.com and Unlock it from network lock.SOS call means Emergency calls ...You can unlock it ,use any GSM Network Sim card...
It means you have entered the sim pin incorrectly too many times. Call your mobile provider (Vodafone, o2, orange etc) and they will be able to give you your puk code.
Some providers also allow you to get these online as well.
Sir ,
Cellphones have a security network seal which prevents it from using it in another country. You have to go to any nearby cell phone shop and tell them to break the seal .pls dont get to any authorised shop coz all this work is illegal.
thankyou
hope you liked my advice
Your sim card might be loose in it's place. Or you may need to "open line" your phone.
Better solution? Purchase a new sim,not a vodafone sim. For you to know what the problem is.
A rate from you for this solution according to the benefits obtained will be much appreciated. tnx! Further questions? don't hesitate to post......good day!
Firstly your phone is locked ...once it ask u for a subsidy password it means that the phone is locked to the sim card or the provider your trying to use.The message contact provider means that you have tried the incorrect subsidy code over eight times so the phone would automatically show the message contact service provider or contact operator. You need to get the subsidy code for this phone off ebay at www.cellunlock.net or from anyone of the many sellers of motorola codes. The codes cost us$7.99.I can get the code for you for a cost of us $10.00 if u don't have access to ebay or paypal. my email is [email protected] this helps...
