Device Manager truly shows if it is installed correctly. Whether it works or not is a different matter. You need software to run the camera.

Its a glitch with the latest release, had the same problems myself. I'd suggest deleting it from your system, then downloading the latest version and seeing if it happens again.

If you click start and then select all program the camera program should be somewhere in that list. It might be in a submenu under acer.

I own the same make and model, while there is a faceplate for a cam the e525 does not have one installed, it is available for aftermarket installation however.

click on start and go to all programs locate the folder that says video web camera the click on it and click video web camera with the gray and blue icon next to it ur webcam should load after that
