Possibly

1. a lodged piece of foreign material

2. A broken piece within the camera is interfering

3. A piece in the camera that helps control the lens or another piece by the lens is out of place

This is such a specific request, I'll assume you know what you are doing ..... the ccd sensor is quite a difficult part to change.

From my perspective, best option would be to find a donor body thats defective in a different way. There are lots on eBay ....

One thing you might consider is buying a reasonable secondhand one - again from eBay they are less than $50 ......

Finally, Canon had a recall on the A75 for bad sensor problems - I'm not sure if you qualify, but .....

Hello,

Take out your memory card from the camera and then inspect a small or tiny switch. This is the card lock. You need to move it the other way around to enable write back on the memory card.

Redefine your camera with defaults, or check if the date is correctly set.

I much cameras, if the date wasnt set properly this deactivates the date on the menu. check it out.

Has anyone tried a hard reset on their camera by removing the main power batteries for 60 seconds and the reinserting them as if it were the first time power up. This may not fix your particular problem, but when the processor that runs all of the electronic features of the camera gets confused, this is the best way to clear its confusion.
