Question about Sony BRAVIA KDL-46V3000 Television

My Sony BRAVIA KDL-46V3000 Television has messed up colors on left side when first turning it on.....after 5 or 10 mins the picture is normal.. Also without turning on the receiver (only TV) can't select input menu as TV is too black Occasionally there is a black 6 inch wide stripe down the center.

    Problem solved.

    The Tech was here today from a Sony repair center and said the PANEL is malfunctioning and has to be REPLACED not fixed. Not a year old so it was still under the Sony warranty.........not that it would matter if it wasn't as it's fully covered for the 4 years extended warranty. Hope to have it done before the Grey Cup game on Sunday......crossing my fingers anyway.

    Got my Panel replaced today and that was the problem with the color mixup. Hope this helps others with a similar problem!

This also happened to me and may continue to get worse... If it goes away for a while after warming up, then it is the same problem... The LCD panel is probably going out, when that happens the cost to repair it is more than the tv is worth... If it is in warranty then you can have it replaced or fixed.

Turn on the TV. While holding down V on the remote control, press POWER

LEFT HALF OF SCREEN BLACK OR MULTI-COLORED VERTICAL LINES
If you have the same problem on any sources (dvd, tv...) then see with your retailer or directly with Sony customer services. There's a problem either with the display card or the panel.

Sony has extended warrenty on 46 XBR4 & 46 XBR5 for picture anomalies - like yours. Check with Sony customer service. Good Luck.

We have a Sony Bravia KDL46V3000, manufactured 7/2007. When first turned on, the screen is very dark, especially on the left side. There are also 3 or 4 horizontal bands visible, especially on the left...

Sony Bravia KDL-46V3000 turns off with blinking front light.
Sounds like the power supply may be failing. Count the beeps next time, that will give you the error code.

Sony Bravia KDL-46V3000 screen has gone to Color lines vertical. No physical damage has occured. Please advice for solution.
turm on the tv for at least 24 hours with rf signal it will automatically get ok.
