Since you didn't specify the model of your Uniden DECT 6.0 phone I can only suggest you select it from the list beginning here to download a copy of the manual.
Hi!
Some phones have a double function for the "#" button.
Press and hold this button "#" and the silent mode will turn off/on.
I hope this will work!
Have a nice day!

I to am stuck in silent mode, voicemail won't work, the whole entire phone is jacked up, just because i had my phone number changed, are you kidding me?? Not ringing, not doing anything @ all, can someone tell me what to do? please thnx :)
Depends upon you model number but most of the samsung phone tunn on/off to silent mode by pressing and holding #button lower right corner of the key pad. if it do not work then go the settings then sound setting then incoming call then alert type it would be settled at vibration or silent by moving navigational keys remove it and sett it and melody.
or by holding down the # key :) you may have changed the profile itself, so check under profiles > Silent check the settings in there are actually set to silent...
on the top left corner there is a sound icon. touch it with your fingertip. just keep your finger on the icon for a few seconds and u can activate or deactivate silent mode
