Hi, sorry for pasting this in another Maytag product section but I have a pressing problem here. I can't get rid of the water in my Maytag MAV3700AAW top loader washing machine at the moment. It just will not drain.
I've taken all the clothes out so only the water remains currently. My housemate told me it presented an 'OF' error, and most recently it has presented an 'OE' error, which I'm not familiar with. I've attempted to get rid of the water by running a very simple cycle (6min wash, 1 rinse, 1 spin) and has failed, presenting an another error.
Upon noticing this problem, I detected a subtle smell which would lead me to believe the washer was somewhat struggling to do its thing. Making me think my house mate overloaded it, he's since taken all the clothes out and the water is sitting there. I've not detected any blockages in the basket whatsoever.
ANY help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED! Otherwise, I have no idea what I'm gonna do with this excess water besides siphoning it, haha. Might make my housemate do that seeming as he's responsible.
Thanks!

To drain out water press the 'spin only' option, if it does not work drain out the water with a tube, ie, siphon it out of the tub.
SOURCE: water not draining completely after cycle ends
First of all, is your drain hose connected to a kitchen sink or into a standpipe? If its a sink make sure you form a loop or curve in the hose as high as possible above the sinks own waste(plug hole) ,to ensure water cannot travel from sink back into machine. If this is not the case then your water pump, or the rubber pipe coming to the pump has definately got some kind of obstruction inside. Your washing machine has not emptied properly since it filled up at the beginning of the cycle, and has not got rid of the soapy water enough to enable a true rinse.Hence the detergent smell on clothes... Turn off power at plug socket.Take drain hose out of stand-pipe (or connection to sink waste)and drop this hose into a washing up bowl or similar at floor level,to drain off as much water as possible before disconnecting hose to pump or checking the pumps impellar to discover the blockage..Lets know how u get on,good luck.
SOURCE: Leak from maytag top load coin machine during spin drain cycle only
Possible that you would have a tub seal leak if it is only noticable during spin cycle. Possible that it "drips" slightly while in agitation, but not enough to notice it. While in spin mode you have a lot more parts moving as well as a lot more water pressure on the seal itself. Pump could also be leaking, but highly doubtful since it would leak a constant amount at all times. Good Luck!!! Jim
SOURCE: Help!! My maytag neptune MAH6700AWW is having trouble.
the fix was simple i just had to lift my drain hose off the floor. it had become disconnected from the back of the washer and was lying on the floor. I didn't realize that by it lying on the floor it didn't provide the proper back pressure to keep the water in while filling the tub. this was the NF error. as for the LE error. i haven't gotten it since i took off my cold water hose connection and ran hot water into it to losen the dirt/rust that was caked into the screen that is located in it. My washer is running like it is brand new again.
