My best advice here is ether the disk was not written for your region or it was nto written correctly if its a burned disk or it is dirty with scuffs or scratches ether way if other disk is running great then this is pointing at the disk your working with here, Simply try this in another player to see what is ruled out here.

Could be a bad sign of a laser solder bubbles not formed right if you know what I am talking about you will know what I mean.

If the disk is copywrite protected, your recorder is designed to not record be it an rw or whatever disk. Try making the copy with your computer and use DVD Shrink software still available on line. This software will decode and shrink the data to fit your blank. Since the software cannot be updated (legal reasons), it might not work, and you will have to resort to DVD Fab for the decoding process. There should be no hassle with older disks.

New dvds show inncorrect disk message. older dvds run fine

Look at older disks and see if they are R- or R+ your dvd player may only read one type or the other. Look at new disks and see if they are R- and R+ disks. Some DVD players read both some only one type.

Won't format new DVD-RW disks

i did everyting today to fix this. bought new dvds, name brands different, tried finding codes, called the number. trust me. try this. clean it. thats All i did. cleaned it with a dvd cd cleaning disc, the one with two little brushes on it, nothing special, ran it until i heard the beep, popped my dvd in, they all worked. everyone, im still recording. i ran it about four times. now, if you tried to burn a dvd, and got the error, throw that dvd away. because i tried about ten dvds. after i fixed it, THOSE dvds were no longer usable. dont know why. hope this works.

Solutions to incorrect disk error c105 & c104

Hello gjbrokke,

First make sure the disc is compatible with the dvd player (CD-R+ , or CD-R - )

Second make sure the region code of the dvd you burned is compatible with the dvd region settings on your dvd player.

One of those two are preventing the disc from playing in your sansui player.

Won't play DVDs or CDs at all. Reads error code C-104.

To solve this Code 10 error, follow these instructions: NOTE: After removing these registry keys and rebooting, it may be necessary to reinstall any CD or DVD recording applications.
1) Close all open programs

2) Click on Start, Run, and type REGEDIT and press Enter

  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
  • SYSTEM
  • CurrentControlSet
  • Control
  • Class
  • {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
4)This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry.Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.
  • UpperFilters
  • LowerFilters
  • UpperFilters.bak
  • LowerFilters.bak
5) If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose Delete

6) After deleting the keys, close the
Registry Editor

7) Reboot your computer

Recording Error "Can not record on this disk/E4 54037380

I had that exact same problem. I would record a bunch of dvds with no problems for months and then some and one day it doesn't work. Only this showed up E4 EA03738B. However I've found the solution. Instead of going out and returning the recorder or buying new dvds just purchase a Laser Lense Cleaner. It's a dvd cleaner. Works like a charm.

Sansui dvd player wont play and dvd's... shows up as incorrect disc c104 error

Try cleaning the optics with one of those DVD cleaners.
When that probably doesn't work, you can hand clean the optics if you can figure out how to get at them. (easy on some, hard on others) If that doesn't work, it is prbably not worth going any farther
