One side of the refrigeration coated coils rusted through and leaked out the refrigerant. Seventeen months old and no one wants to work on it. Where can one find replacement coils?
Have you tried this http://www.franklinchef.com/service_call.html for a service. With the unit being this new, it's under warranty. Your sealed system is warrantied for 5 years. This is why you are having trouble finding someone to work on it plus Franklin Ind. does not want to pay the service company when they are sent the bill. Where are you located. If your close, i'll see what I can do about repairing it for you. Expect to have to pay for service from anyone due to the service company having so much trouble getting paid themselves. Although you should be reimbursed after Franklin pays.
This was copied from Franklin Ind. web sight and this is why no one wants to repair their equipment.
Franklin Industries, LLC has filed for bankruptcy protection under Chapter 11 of the bankruptcy code on September 11, 2009 under Case Number 1-09-47870. By virtue of this event, Franklin Industries will be unable to provide warranty services for products purchased prior to September 11, 2009 ("Pre-Petition Purchase").
For those who are not entitled to warranty services from the company from which you purchased the product, or coverage under an extended service warranty program, you are entitled to file a proof-of-claim with the bankruptcy court for a claim for the costs incurred to service the product. The form for filing a Pre-Petition Purchase claim can be found at http://www.nyeb.uscourts.gov/forms/b10a.pdf .
For information on filing a proof-of-claim, see http://www.nyeb.uscourts.gov/ecf_claim_cr_info.html and for general information, the website for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York may be found at http://www.nyeb.uscourts.gov
