I have a whirlpool gas range that reaches the temperature then cuts off but keeps coming on every couple of minutes and repeating that cycle until it gets so hot that it cuts off completely. Before this I replaced the spark module board. any advise??

    if it was the sensor why would it keep re-igniting and shutting off repeatedly, it seems like board is acting independently of the sensor.

HI, You will need to check the oven sensor wires that link the actual sensor to the main control board. Make sure that the contacts are connected properly, and not loose, or corroded. If all the wiring checks out, test the sensor for the correct resistance readings.(you will need a multimeter for this test)

The most common oven sensor should be approximately, 1100 ohms when at room temperature. The others may be close to as follows:

100°F - 1143 ohms
200°F - 1350 ohms
300°F - 1553 ohms
350°F - 1654 ohms
400°F - 1753 ohms
500°F - 1949 ohms

If the sensor test is adequate, and the wiring is Ok at the control, this will lead to a failed control board. replace the control in this case.

That sounds like either a fuel issue; too rich, or an air leak in the manifold.
If it were an ignition issue, it woukd cut out, not run rough.

Kenmore oven shuts off before preheated

On any gas appliance there is a high and a low limit temp stat which could be indipendant or on the gas valve it's self, that is faulty.
When the oven reaches temp, it cuts out. sounds like faulty over heat stat.

My LP oven will ignite for a couple seconds then cut out. If set to 500 degrees it will reach 350 in about 30 minutes but never goes above 400 and that's if I turn it off then on again a couple times. It...

there is a copper pipe over the flame burner, clean this up. this controls the gas supply for temperature, also there is another line on some models separate from this one that tells if the gas has been ignited and keep the supply going or shuts of gas if no heat is detected. this will need cleaning to, oven cleaner and a brillow pad metal type is best to use to clean them, also clean the grill were the gas comes out as if these are blocked the gas will not heat the sensors up.

Obd2 system rediness status won't clear so I can run the smog test due to replacing the battery.

takes a long time to run the rediness test since there are 6 different tests to complete...

Test Procedure
Engine: start.
Accelerate until the vehicle speed is 89 km/h (55 mph) or more.
While keeping the accelerator pedal opening degree constant, keep the vehicle speed at 89 km/h (55 mph) or more and travel for 30 minutes.
Return the vehicle to the shop, then turn the ignition switch to "LOCK" (OFF) position

PROCEDURE 3
CATALYTIC CONVERTER MONITOR
Drive Cycle Pattern
Inspection Conditions
Atmospheric temperature: -10°C (14°F) or more.
Condition of A/T: Selector lever D range.
Engine coolant temperature: Not set.
Time required: 16 minutes or more.
Drive cycle pattern: One trip monitor (from start to ignition switch to "LOCK" (OFF) position). Will be completed while traveling with the following drive cycle pattern.
Test Procedure
Engine: start.
Accelerate until the vehicle speed is 89 km/h (55 mph) or more.
Travel for 300 seconds or more while keeping the vehicle speed at 89 km/h (55 mph) or more.
Decelerate until the vehicle speed is within 80 km/h (50 mph) or less.
While traveling at 56 - 80 km/h (35 - 50 mph) for 10 minutes or more, fully close the throttle at least once in 2 minutes and decelerate for 10 seconds or more.
Do not repeat deceleration too often.
Vehicle speed may go below 56 km/h (35 mph) after the deceleration.
Stopping and braking are permitted. (If stopped or drive at 56 km/h (35 mph) or less for more than 5 minutes the monitoring may be stopped. In this case please restart monitoring from the beginning.)
After completing the above deceleration, bring the vehicle speed back to 56 - 80 km/h (35 - 50 mph) and keep it in the range until starting the deceleration again.
Repeat the above deceleration at least 5 times.
Return the vehicle to the shop, then turn the ignition switch to "LOCK" (OFF) position

HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR MONITOR

Inspection Conditions
Engine coolant temperature: 100°C (212°F) or more.
Atmospheric temperature: -10°C - 60°C (14 - 140°F) or more.
Condition of A/T: Selector lever D range.
Time required: 16 minutes or more.
Drive cycle pattern: One trip monitor (from start to ignition switch to "LOCK" (OFF) position). Will be completed while traveling with the following drive cycle pattern.
Test Procedure
Engine: start.
Accelerate until the vehicle speed is 56 - 80 km/h (35 - 50 mph).
While keeping the accelerator pedal opening degree constant, keep the vehicle speed at 56 - 80 km/h (35 - 50 mph) and travel for 16 minutes or more.
Stopping and braking during this operation are permitted. Keep the accelerator opening degree constant for 1 minute or more after each acceleration.
Return the vehicle to the shop, then turn the ignition switch to "LOCK" (OFF) position

PROCEDURE 5
EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION (EGR) SYSTEM MONITOR
Drive Cycle Pattern
Inspection Conditions
Engine coolant temperature: 100°C (212°F) or less.
Atmospheric temperature: 5 - 60°C (41 - 140°F).
A/C switch: OFF.
Condition of A/T: Selector lever D range.
Time required: 16 minutes or more.
Drive cycle pattern: One trip monitor (from start to ignition switch to "LOCK" (OFF) position). Will be completed while traveling with the following drive cycle pattern.
Test Procedure
Engine: start.
Accelerate until the vehicle speed is 56 - 80 km/h (35 - 50 mph).
While traveling 16 minutes or more at 56 - 80 km/h (35 - 50 mph) with engine speed 2,000 r/min or above, fully close the throttle at decelerate for 5 seconds or more until the engine speed reaches 1,000 r/min or under.
Do not repeat deceleration too often.
Stopping and braking are permitted (Rapid deceleration and sharp steering are not permitted).
After completing the deceleration, bring the vehicle speed back to 56 - 80 km/h (35 - 50 mph) and keep it in the range until starting the deceleration again.
Repeat the above deceleration at least 8 times by fully closing the throttle valve.
Return the vehicle to the shop, then turn the ignition switch to "LOCK" (OFF) position

PROCEDURE 6
OTHER MONITOR (Main Components, Sensors & Switches, Wire Breakage & Short Circuit)

Inspection Conditions
Engine coolant temperature:
100°C (212°F) or less (Except engine coolant temperature sensor monitoring).
30°C (86°F) or less (Engine coolant temperature sensor monitoring).
Atmospheric temperature:
5°C (41°F) or more (Except engine coolant temperature sensor monitoring).
-10°C (14°F) or less (Engine coolant temperature sensor monitoring).
Condition of A/T: Selector lever D range.
Time required: 21 minutes or more.
Drive cycle pattern: One trip monitor (from start to ignition switch to "LOCK" (OFF) position). Will be completed while traveling with the following drive cycle pattern.
Test Procedure
Engine: start
Accelerate until the vehicle speed is 56 km/h (35 mph) or more.
While keeping the accelerator pedal opening degree constant, keep the vehicle speed at 56 km/h (35 mph) or more and travel for 16 minutes or more.

Du1100xtpq7 has had the touch pad replaced along with the circuit board that goes behind it and yet it just keeps repeating the wash cycle and goes for hours

i would guess that you are having a problem with the optical sensor inside the pump housing. it is suppose to sense when the water is clean or dirty and allow the unit to continue washing or advance to the next cycle.
i have seen these test good but be just out of calibration enough to cause long run times.
you can try to change it yourself or have the service company try that instead of a new board and panel.

The oven does not stay an even temperature and there is a gas smell. The broiler works fine! Only the oven....

By the parts diagram, it looks like you have a glow coil type igniter . Generally when the oven wont keep temperature, the igniter is failing to reignite the burner. The burner comes on till it reaches temp then shuts off until the temp falls below a certain temp then comes back on until it reaches temp again and so on and so forth. Most of the time the igniter has a very small crack in it and doesn't begin to fail until it cycles several times. I would check the igniter and the safety valves and coils on the valve

looks like operating normally...

the fridge as it reaches it's temperature shuts the compressor off and then after a few minutes..the fridge would increase temperature again and would turn back the compressor again.

its the thermostat which is cutting on and off the compressor.

and i think it is normal. based on the temperatures that you indicated..it is cooling very well..0 F in the freezer and 40 in the refrigerator... that's good.

The oven doesn't work ,the ignator doesn't light up. no gas coming

The technical jargon is,.....:
In order for your gas oven to work this is what has to happen: 1. when you turn on the oven, the range sends 120 volts to the glow bar igniter. 2. as the igniter heats up (and starts to glow) it starts using more electricity. 3. when the electric use reaches a set amount (say 3.2 amps) the range knows the glow bar igniter is hot enough to ignite the gas, so it then releases gas through the gas safety valve. 4. when the thermostat tells the oven controller that the temperature has been reached, the control cuts power to the igniter, cutting the amp draw down, causing the safety gas valve to close. 5. process repeats to hold oven temp until you turn off oven.

So,..........the solution is:
most likely your oven igniter burnt out. Find your model number, usually on the range frame just behind the lower drawer or broiler drawer (depending on if it is a self clean gas range or not) and order the correct igniter and replace it.
