blinking yellow indicates no lamp or the lamp door is open. if you had the back off you may have gotten the door switch aligned improperly. the door switch is located just inside the lamp door.

wait for the light to go out then press power. Then if it doesnt power up hold the menu and the Device/input buttons on the set both in together for 5 seconds the light will blink a series of blinks pause briefly then blink another number of blinks then pause then it will repeat the same two digit blink sequence a few times . Check that the lamp door is closed all the way. There is a saftey switch that closes from the door being on all the way. If not the status light will keep blinking. There is also a switch on the air filter door.
It is doing this because the filter cover on the side of the tv has come loose, or the microswitch that senses the cover has gone bad. It is at the bottom right corner of the filter cover.
