TWAIN message Using the Arcsoft Photostudio software that came with the Canoscan setup CD originally (I think), I keep getting a message when I try to acquire that says "No TWAIN library in your system!" So I can't use the scanner. To fill out this picture: I had the scanner set up on a Mac G-5 and it was working fine with the Arcsoft Photostudio. Then I got a new iMac and reinstalled the Canon software from the CD. But then I tried the Photostudio application and it gave me this stupid TWAIN message. Is a plug-in missing somewhere? Should I just get different software to use with the scanner? I've reinstalled the scanner software from the disk AND from the downloaded version, and it still doesn't help me at all with actually USING the scanner.

I'm assuming that this is only occurring in ArcSoft PhotoStudio? You may need to install an application that is more up today and compatible with Vista. I don't know if that version of PhotoStudio is compatible. You should check with ArcSoft. There is a patch for the 2000 version of PhotoStudio...but again, I don't know if PhotoStudio 2000 is Vista Compatible.
Use ArcSoft PhotoStudio that came with the scanner. Open ArcSoft PhotoStudio. Open your image file (File | Open). Select the 'T' on the Toolbar. Click where you want to add text and you're ready to start typing.
