The fuse has blown in our lead from the car cigarette lighter to our iCN 530 sat nav. We have tried to get a replacement 2amp fuse(it is much smaller than the usual fuses) without any success. We have managed to get a new lead but would like to keep this one as a replacement. Many thanks.

The fuse for tis lighter assembly has probably blown. Look in the fusebox for a blown blue color fuse. Replace this for a 20 amp yellow one. If you are powering items from this plug, it will need the extra 5 amp to cope.
Hope this helps
Hi Ernie,
as you've already tried two different chargers, it sounds clear that it's not a charger problem. But, did you try also a different cigarette lighter? The problem may due to your car CL over power (maybe a fuse went...)
If it doesn't work please let me know, we'll try smth different.
Regards,
Peter
possibly a spike through the ciggarette lighter plug, try putting slightly larger fuse in ( 4 or 5 amp )
temporarily and see if it blows the slightlty larger fuse. if it does it's more likely to be something wrong with the ciggarette lighter socket if it doesn't blow the fuse it's more likely to be the power supply. Ebay for another one perhaps ??
the fuse should be on the socket that you plug into the cigarette hole, ie the lead that connects to your sat nav. i assume you are on about the sat nav not the fuse for cig lighter
