It could be a fuser, drum, developer, or transport belt problem among other things. The FS-C5016N is an old model color printer and if the maintenance kit has not been replaced it probably should be. THe maintenance kit contains the items above along with a few others.

There may be a few possible things for your to try. Below is the list of things you can try.
1) Reinstall the PDF software that you use to open your pdf documents. (reader or acrobat) *restart machine after reinstall.
2) Remove the printer from your list of printers and faxes then add it back again
3) Restart the spooler service
click start -> run
type services.msc then ok
on new window, look for print spooler, right click and select restart service.
when you open the left cover you will see some green plastic things. If you pull these towards the left they will clean print heads and charge coronas. If this does not fix the problem the you will have to remove the dev and drum units from the machine. The print head sits on top of the drum unit and can be levered off with the three tabs gently lifted. the entire print head can be remove once the black cover has been unhitched from the sides. The print heads are not screwed in and what ever you do DO NOT TOUCH THE SCREWS on the print heads as they are only for density adjustment
on a ricoh - that would be the pcm - photoconductor module
on an ecosys the module should last 100,000 pages
nothing ever seems to last that long
