There's no delay start on our new Miele W3740 washing machine. Can we use an electronic timer in the plug socket to delay the program start (cheap night-time use of electricity)? Thank you. Gerald

Yes you could use a delay plug if it dont over rate the plug,,,check how many watts your washer pulls and how many watts the delay plug can handel first,,,if its more than the delay plug can take dont try it or you may just have a fire on your hands,,
even with cheap electricity is it worth that?

It looks like it might be a UK Model. They are normally cast aluminium. You may be able to get it welded.. There are some parts suppliers in the links.

Miele w163 top loader, keep cutting out of electric. Supply sockets and plug all good.

That sounds like a bad control or timer. They can be replaced. It sounds like a mechanical timer that controls the machine.

How do I fix a F53 fault on a Miele W3740 Washing Machine

First, unplug the washer for minutes then plug in and see if it solve the problem, if not then check the carbon brushes on the motor. These are a part which is expected to wear and when they do the motor cannot rotate the drum, which means the speed sensor thinks something is wrong and throws the error.good luck. Check that you don't overload the machine. This can happen if the load is too heavy.
