How do i use my built in webcam to record videos?

have you looked at VLC player it has web cam record function and video recording. may have to cheque in settings for save format and it completely free

How to record your video

Are you sure it's possible to capture/record youtube using your built-in webcam? I am afraid and no one has ever done it yet. It's possible with software like camstudio, but it's not possible. Just imagine, you webcam is facing towards you and how could you capture the video running on your computer monitor/screen?
There are several softwares but I have never come across a software which can capture both video and audio at the same time. In the same way CamStudio doesn't support both video and audio, it only supports video and we use mic to record the sound or use audio editor software with Stereo Mix to record the sound while the video is playing, later we edit to create the video with it's sound. I hope your webcam has no problem with yahoo messenger or skype etc.. if you have please let me mentioning the problem and make sure it's detected in the My Computer or in the Device Manager.

TRY THE CONTROL PANEL

     There are alot of free and low cost applications you can use to record live videos, however the most basic one comes with Windows ME/XP/Vista. You can use Windows Movie Maker and go to its Capture video dialog, where 99% of USB Webcams (these include built-ins) are detected and used.

     Sometimes the performance of the built in cameras can be somewhat mediocre at their default settings, so I usually suggest going to the properties of your camera first and making sure you optimize your quality vs. framerate to give you the most desirable image. Good luck!

Please look up the above link. This camera does not have a built in microphone. If you were looking to record sound, you would need to purchase a camer with a built in microphone or by a separate microphone
