The baja is gasoline powered car.
if it lacks power the fault may be internally in the engine.

clean airfilter
check throttle linkage
set high an low speed needles to factory setting.(refer to manual for correct setting)
ADJUST IDLE
check carburetor.
check all fuel lines and mix ratio of fuel and 2-stroke oil.
check spark plug and spark plug wire and cap.
if you open up the engine yourself check all gaskets an seals
(if you dont know how to split the engine get a hobbyshop to check it out for you)
if the engine is old u might have to replace piston rings to get the compresion rate up again.
check your exhaust.

THIS IS A FAIRLY ADVANCED VEHICLE SO THERE IS MORE THAN ONE POSSIBILITY FOR THE ENGINE TO LACK POWER.
AND THERE IS NO EASY WAY OF FINDING OUT EITHER.

My 5b was sluggish and a friend told me to adjust low idle needle because it was getting to much fuel into carb . So I did just an 1/8 turn clock wise and it worked ! You should try that

Switched stock pipe to dominator and got one normal start. After that run cut motor off and it hasn't started again since. I've cleaned carb and replaced spark-plug but, NOTHING seems to help!

First, put the old pipe back on to see if it runs again, this will confirm if there's any engine damage. If it runs ok (will probably take a few attempts after having a problem like this) and you are desperate to use the new pipe, you may want to change the fuel mix to something less lean.Hope this helps.
