Doorbell frequencies. We have recently purchased a new wireless doorbell. However it keeps going off whenever any of our neighbours rings. I know I need to change the frequency but I've lost the instructions. It has 4 black pegs on the back that can be removed. I've read on a forum to remove one or more of the pegs but if I do this it doesn't work at all. Any ideas please?

I had the same problem however, I gave the door bell to my Mom and Brother thinking that someone wouldn't have the same one but it's doing the same thing at their house too. So I know it's an interference from something else I heard that cell phones, wirless pc's other electronics might interfer with it.

Any info on the brand or model of the doorbell?

In the transmitter and receiver, You will see a small box or circle with a flathead screw inside. Turn this one 1 whole turn clockwise or counter clockwise. Fine tune the transmitter or receiver so it will have max range. (higher frequency travels further, which is good info if you want to increase range.

Check the reciever (ringer) as well, it will have to be set to match what you do to the transmitter (the doorbell button)

What manufacture has the smallest video doorbell camera the will fit existing traditional doorbell envelope without modifications?

If you want a wired doorbell with video, Ring do one. For a simple wireless Bluetooth night vision, with speaker, doorbell push, none. The most basic with bells and whistles are twice the width and 50% taller. If you are going to invest in one, you may as well do it right. I just ordered one from wish.com

Why does my Desa doorbell model WA220-UK not work , fresh batteries in both button and chime unit?

It is a guess, but wireless doorbells have adjustable frequencies so that your neighbors door bell button doesn't ring yours as well. My guess is that the bell push and the chime unit are mis-matched. Do you have a manual? I can't find one.

Rind doorbell doesn't stop ringing

it is possible that the doorbell button is sticking down and keeping contact - so the doorbell keeps chiming.

My utilitech wireless doorbell rings by itself how do I stop this

It is most likely caused by localised interference/signals from another device close by.
If the unit has an option to change the frequency, use it.
if not unlees you find the source of the interference a hardwired doorbell is the best option.

Phantom bell rings on Siemens wirreless door bell chime jsjs-204, I do not have instructions

You may need to change the frequency of the chime. In this model, you need to remove the batteries from the receiver unit and wait for a while. Then replace the batteries. The doorbell unit should automatically set itself to a different frequency once you press the button, which will(hopefully) solve the problem.

It seems impossible to find the instruction manual for the doorbell. But see http://oddsnsods.net/blog/?p=68 who had a similar problem with a different Siemens model, which works on the same principles. (I can't seem to be able to remove the battery from the door bell unit on the jsjs204, but it reset itself after changing the batteries in the receiver).
