Flashing envelope on screen

Try to delete a couple of messages from your inbox, the reason for that blinking envelope is your inbox's memory is full...therefore you have to delete some of the messages.

Can't open inbox/outbox/drafts Razr v3x

Two possible problems here, the new messages could be server messages, your inbox is completely full and there (unfortunately) really is no choice to but to delete either a large number of the messages in your inbox or delete all. If that doesn't work it needs to be taken into a retailer to be either repaired or trashed. Had a similar problem with the same phone and i had to delete all my inbox messages and it still showed that i had messages and they were server messages.

My home screen shows a flashing envelope icon even though my sim contacts memory is nowhere near full

This icon indicates that the SIM card's own text message storage is full. This doesn't actually cause problems on the 5800 because it stores its messages in the phone's own memory, but the envelope can look a bit annoying.
To get rid of the flashing envelope:

1. On the standby screen press the white menu button.

2. Select "Messaging"

3. Select "Options"

4. Select "SIM Messages"

5. Delete some or all of the messages from the SIM messages folder using the Options menu.

Constant flashing envelope on front screen

This is common on the Nokia N79. Your Sim card probably has text messages saved on it and the flashing icon is showing your sim sms memory is full. In the inbox go to the setting and view the sms on the sim, delete them and the message icon should stop flashing.

Cant receive txt there is a envelope icon with a stop sign by it

Most of the time that symbol means that your inbox is full. If your inbox is not full try taking the battery out for 3 min so your phone will do a hard reset

Motorola RAZR mieterious message icon

Check and see if someone has sent you a picture message that you haven't downloaded yet. If you have one, it will tell you that you haven't opened it, and all you need to do is download it if you want that to stop. Or you could just delete the message.
It's not a big problem that will mess up your phone, it's just telling you something. (:

Message not able to be opened or read.

Do you have proper signal strength? If so, i would be willing to bet that the phone doesnt have enough memory left to download the message. If you have good signal and it wont work then try deleting a few of the pictures or vids that you allready have on your phone then turn the phone off then back on to try downloading it again... Hope this helps
