try looking into the Timer section on the TV. also on Dish if it is left unattended (like stay on same channel etc) it will go in to sleep mode, U then just hit the Select button.. U can go in the Dish menu and set the Sleep mode (inactivate mode ) to a longer time, I usually set my for 8 hours.
It will be best not to do anything with this TV now, as it is a new one. Contact the authorized dealer or service center to rectify the problem. Gopakumar Gopalan Google
Hello. Well it does not catch any real fire if this is what you mean. What actually happens - PDP (Plasma Display Panel) is "burning out" throughout it's use. Especially if someone is watching TV channels with fixed logo (Like CNN for example). That steady image can get "burned in" into the screen and stay there forever. So it is important to watch different channels and programming so screen does not get any permanent "marks" and spots. LCD and LED technology does not have this issue because of totally different method of producing image on the screen. Regards. Russ.
Why not simply record a channel tuned into the vcr and use your tv remote to watch a channel tuned into your tv? that is how it is normaly done... don't forget a vcr/pvr/dvd recorder has it's own channels just like a tv does... just no screen of it's own the tv has of course it's own channels and in fact does not even need to be switched on in order for your recorder to record a program neither does the recorder need to be on to use your tv
