You may need to calibrate the incline. Do this with the following procedure.
Safety key out
press the stop and speed up buttons at the same time while inserting the safety key. (you are now in diagnostics)
press the stop button one time only.
now press the incline up button (incline motor should start moving up)
incline will go up to the top and then all the way to the bottom. when it gets done you can remove the key. Reinsert the key and you should be operating normally.

I tried this recalibration on my proform 730CS without success. I entered calibration mode fine, but the incline did not move at all - just beeped. What else can I check?
I have the same problem as referenced above and had the same outcome when applying the re-calibration procedure. Other than replacing the mechanism what else can we do?

When I turn on the Treadmill (Pro-Form XP 550s) the incline starts jumping up and down like it is slipping. It won't do anything else just keeps jumping.
Put the key in and turn the incline to top setting (usually 10%) and as soon as the incline starts pull the key out, resetting the system

Technically, the Incline Trainer and the treadmill are two different type of machines. The incline trainer raises much higher so the card that is designed for the treadmill will not work on the incline trainer unfortunately.

The Nordic Track C2050 then works to determine your pulse, and the symbol of a heart will eventually show up in the display. After a couple of dashes show up, your heart rate will be displayed. Users who want to be certain of getting an accurate reading should ensure their hands are clean when gripping the metal contacts.
