I have a Vizio GV47L LCD TV, and my SR605 could not control it. Does anyone has the remote control code for this TV? Thanks.The codes from SR605 manual, 0864, 0885, and 1756 did not work.

This sounds like a main board issue to me.

Sony TV codes for the Onkyo TX-SR605 are : 0000, 0650, 1100, 1167, 1300, 1505, & 1651.

This is for programming the uverse remote to the vizo tv. From my understanding the uverse box doesn't have a code.

try the codes in your manual for an lg, it worked for mine.

Maybe too late for you but ATT just gave me a code that works with my Vizio plasma. Code is 1343. Even the mute works correctly. They gave me some others to try but I didn't need them. Other codes were 1018, 0030 and 0056.

I have a 37 inch vizio and had the same problem. After a little web research, I came across a suggestion that the LG codes might work. I tried it and found that the code 19 worked. You might try that. If 19 doesn't work for you, one of the other LG codes might (they are 06, 21, 22, 23 or 78).

I contacted Vizio the other day. They tell me that they use the same generic codes as LG. I have Suddenlink Cable, formerly Charter, so I still use the Charter remote. My remote only needed 3 digits and I have noticed that many need 4 or 5. I can tell you that the LG code worked for my tv. I can power on/off, volume, and change the channel. All other functions require the manufacture's remote. The code I used is 005. There was also 004 but that did not work on my tv. Hope this helps someone!
