What is the problem when an air conditioner begins to freeze up?

Freezing up is caused by
•dirty air filter or evaporator coil(indoor coil)
•dirty blower wheel or blower fan blades
•low freon
•weak or slow blower motor
If air filter and indoor coil are clean may be low on freon. Blower wheels seldom get dirty on window units. Pull unit from window and clean both coils with a water hose. Careful not to get any electrical wet. Let dry for a while and reinstall. If it continues to freeze its a freon problem most the time.

If the filter is wet wash it out well with HOT soapy water as well. Thi should help let me know Jon

Water dripping out of Mr. Slim on indoor unit.

Reason for water leaking.
1. Filter block. 2. Cooling coil block. 3. Alignment of indoor a/c unit is sloping downwards. 4. Drain pan block. It's advisable to service your unit first.

Water dripping from air conditioner

It's because of non-maintained air conditioner. Clean air filter, indoor coil, blower wheel and also drain pan. Insulate freon pipelines properly and tightly. After that run the a/c. If still water dripping. Check indoor f.motor speed. If less replace capacitor. If f.m. is o.k, check gas pressure. If less, there will be ice formation over the coil and water dripping will be there when it melting. If short of gas, check for leak and rectify. Thanks. Helpful?

Hi
Check if the water drain pipe is not blocked. Or if the water drain pipe is not sloping downward away from the the unit. Or if the inside unit is level or slightly tilted to the side of the water drain pipe.

Control unit not working - blinking

i dont really understand, but if it a residential split and you have water in the emergancy pan underneath the indoor unit there is a float switch in that pan that is open not letting the unit come on it is there to prevent water from leaking throgh the ceiling.
drain that pan and unit should come on however something is wrong. when is the last time yuo changed the filter 9 times out of ten that is the problem if filter is changed and indoor motor not running that will cause unit tice up causing leak, third the which is unl, ikely you have a leak. if i can help you anymore please let me know

Too much water condensation

Check your condensate drain. It could be plugged. Or perhaps you have a crack in the drain pan.
