Hi it sounds like it could be an issue with board that powers the lamp ,it's called the ballast.When you put a new lamp in the ballast has to provide more power ,when it starts to go weak it will not light up.Sometimes you can put your old lamp in and will work fine.Try partstore.com they might have it right there.Hvae a blessed one!

might be problem with PS3 rather than telly. Try another HDMI cable in case something wrong with yours. You can try and reset PS3 video output by holding power button down (when in standby mode) until it beeps, them use original cable and see if that shows up on your TV. If so reconnect HDMI cable Ps3 will detect it and change settings back to HDMI then see if the TV picks it up.
