It depends on model if HDMI socket is available separately, usually complete circuit board would be replaced.
Let me know exact model of TV to check its part list for HDMI socket.
Thanks.

When select Hdmi, no sound

Check your settings on both connected devices. If that doesn't work, make certain there's no damage to the sockets the cable is connected to. Lastly get a new high speed cable and try again.

HDMI ports not working. Possible lighting damage

I've seen alot of TV's with blown HDMI inputs. They seem to be easily damaged by power surges. If you are good with electronics repairs, you can locate the HDMI input chip on the main board of your TV and replace it. It is quicker and easier to locate a replacement main board on Ebay or Shopjimmy and just replace the whole board. Just make sure you buy the exact same board .

Yamaha rx-v1600 hdmi output not working

Have you inspected the HDMI socket? I had the same problem and the socket had been damaged by a tight fit cabinet with insuficcient space behind the amplifier. A sideways cable tug on the inserted HDMI cable had snapped a small piece of plastic seperating the two rows of HDMI connectors, and three were splayed out, so no connection when plugged in. Solution was to carefully re-align the connector fingers and glue a tiny piece of insulating material between the two rows. The output now works perfectly. A bit fiddley, but worth the trouble when you look at how much Yamaha would charge to fit a new socket, or even a new board!

Only one of 3 hdmi ports work

If all 3 are side by side or even on same board I would suspect physical damage is the problem first--those HDMI sockets are not very sturdy and considering the way they are solder in not usually replaced by themselves.

We in our shop are not lazy but will usually just replace the board they are connected to if suspect the problem is not elsewhere in the set.

Lets face it--those were never meant for hard use-like plugging and unplugging a lot not to mention the poor quality of parts used in many cases.

Google the model with "parts" or visit the LG site---I have seen brand new out of the box sets with bad ones--the average person is much stronger than those sockets are. Makers of lap top computers learned this lesson early on and went to better made USB sockets for this precise reason.

I also have a DLP tv and the pic is piculated (big block and jagie edges), The pic seem bright, and it hooked to HDMI

This could be a problem with the HDMI connection. Could be one of the following: .
  1. Poor connection. Make sure the cable is plugged in tightly and that the plugs and sockets are clean.
  2. Bad or damaged HDMI cable. Try another cable.
  3. Cable too long. Check your owners manual for the signal source to make sure you're not using a cable that's too long. This isn't too likely in an average home.
  4. Wrong type of cable. If you need to buy a new cable to test #2, make sure it is Category 2, or High Speed.
. Post the results of your testing if you're still having problems.

Connecting to HD TV

This TV has no HDMI input socket. It Has a DVI input socket. Therefore you will require an HDMI to DVI converter adapter or an HDMI to DVI cable. The DVI is video only so you will require audio cables from your Sky box (Audio L and R ) which will connect to the back left of your TV (Audio L/R sockets next to the s-video and component video connectors)
