Turn off the CPU then open and find the memory slot, just slowly attached the memory and put it back tightly. and then try to open the computer again...

Why is my samsung flat screen monitor black when turn on

Most likely culprit is a defect in the the power module (inside the monitor). Most failures are because of bad electrolytic capacitors.

Do a search using Google and type into the box (the Great Capacitor Plague). Read all about it.

Samsung s24b300a 24" monitor: powers on and then powers off, with just a flash on the screen. Does it make a difference if I don't have a computer connected to it?

yes it does make a difference if it not connected but a box should pop up and say somthing like no video input or somthing along those lines
or just a box red blue and yellow for a second or 2 and then go black.
hope this helps and answers your question?

Samgung pc monitor has a plain white screen when turned on. Also goes off after a short while and the blue power button blinks.

plain white screen means loose conecting the lvds cable to panel. reconect it.
if its goes off then check power board +5v or +14v filter capicitor.

Hello,

A flashing power light like that indicated a blown power supply. Your monitor should be under warranty with Samsung. Check the mfg date on the back sticker, if it is less than 3 years then contact Samsung. If it is out of warranty then contact us at [email protected] and we can get you the info you need to do the repair yourself.

I have 2 monitors connected to 1 computer using a

satservice, What happens AFTER 15 min of FLASHING?? What did unit do or act like 3-4 weeks ago? Is the screen both BLACK and BLANK? or is screen just black and you can SEE win-desktop if you shine a bright flashlight 1 inch from screen at differnt angles? Can you use your Samsung warranty? Will monitor do same when connected to different KNOWN GOOD prebooted to desktop PC? Are you refering to the "power ON" indicator light on front BEZEL as the FLASHING thing? Need more info, but I suspect "shutdown of units "switch-mode-power-supply" due to detection of FAULT CONDITION having been detected with other circuit or with itself. Read some of my other responses in my fixya profile that deal with BLACK SCREEN repair. If this response useful, rate on fixya. 12fixlouie

Samsung monitor picture clicks off after 2-5 seconds...

Yes, It sounds like the backlight inverter circuit is shutting down. No inverter power, no backlight. On some monitors the inverter circuit will shot circuit the power power supply which makes the power light flash on some it just kills the backlight. You can usually check with a flashlight. Hold the flashlight pointed at the screen and see if you can see any of the icons or background picture. If you can then it is the backlight circuit or backlight tubes, usually the circuit.

Samsung

Please try to connect your monitor to another PC, if still the problem exist, then probably an internal electronic part/s is cold soldered / defective, which I suggest to bring the unit to an authorized service center to fix the problem. regards
