Water contamination on the electrical terminals will cause the washer to "Earth Out" and take out the RCD Household safety trip. See where the contamination is and replace the contaminated items. Hope that fixes your problem.
well its not in a microwave is it? its in your mixer,,,,yes they do get stuck in and also out,,,its down to lack of servcing,,,try giving it a splash of WD40 and a good working over with some thing to "flick it with!" it may start moving again,,,,,wash it well after and next time dry it off better before you put it away?
