Router (Netgear WGR614) keeps loosing connection to computer maybe 5 times a week. I unplug it and plug it back in and it connects again, no problem. Any ideas?
It's on the same power strip, but I haven't had the problem up until a few weeks ago. I haven't added any software recently other than Microsoft updates. It's on the same power strip, but I haven't had the problem up until a few weeks ago. Check the distance bet computer and the Router.
Donot keep your router near television, microwaveoven or any radio active devces, it may reduce the performance.
Check the Antena terminals for any loose connections.
If possible check your wireless signal strength with another Laptop, to diagnose the router is working fine.
If everything seems to be fine, it maybe the issue with the Adapter.

First re-power the modem, give it time to boot (about 2 to 3 Min. for Cable and dsl or 7 to 10 min for satellite), next re-power the router, again give it time to acquire it's info (about 2 min.) then start your computer and try to access the Internet, all should be well...
Hi there, Here in Denmark, lots of people are well tired of this router. It often loose internet connection, but a hard-reset fix the problem most times. Maybe you just have to unplug the power for a few seconds and then plug it back in, - wait for a minute or two until all the lights are on. If this doesn’t work, please respond, and well find another solution. /Teis
give the dns value in your wireless connection. and after then you see the proxy server is there or not if there then remove it if not there then check it.
