Just did it today. Hooked up CTK-720 to Imac with Snow Leopard (10.2.6) using GarageBand.
Steps: 1) Go to : http://code.google.com/p/casiousbmididriver/ 2) Download the CasioUSBMIDIDriver.plugin (see the two choices on the right side of screen) 3) Place the CasioUSBMIDIDriver.Plugin file into the MIDI Driver subfolder: Macintosh HD => Library => Audio => MIDI Drivers 4) Restart 5) Plug in USB cable, open GarageBand, turn on Casio 6) In GraarageBand Open New Project, Start by using Piano, Select Keyboard (command K) in the Window menu 7) You should see the keyboard being played on the screen.
PS: Thank you Francois Ferland.

try plugging in without the bateries...Also check your adaptor as well as your ac requirements on your keyboard..It specifically calls for a Casio AD-5 Adaptor.
  • 9V power supply; 850mA

Where can i get a ctk 481 driver

CTK 481 only has MIDI-IN and MIDI-OUT ports & no USB. So you need to buy a USB-MIDI interface (cable-like) preferably one that is class-compliant for you OS. Class-compliant device do not need drivers (PCs, MACs, IPAD).

Can't connect my ctk-720 to my mac

The Mac needs the driver, and you may need to select it in Chooser as well. If it is not on the instruction disk, it should be downloadable from the manufacturers website.

I can't get d usb connection and i think the driver is corrupted

Make sure the driver is compatible with your operating system... often stuff will not work with Vista for example. Often SOME software REQUIRES it to be installed before USB cable is connected, and yet other requires it not be connected till software is installed... read the manual...

Not able to connect to USB MIDI of my Casio CTK 810i

On reading specs, use of the USB is NOT supported on a MAC or on other than the 32 bit version of Vista. If you happen to have the 64 bit Vista, it won't work. All the other versions of Windows seem to be supported..

SOMETIMES one must install the software BEFORE connecting the USB cable to the unit. SOMETIMES one must install the drivers in SAFE MODE. These things are ridiculous, but some of the quirks of Windows are stupid.
