All of the sudden my Samsung A870 phone started turning on and off. It won't even turn off when I hold down the END button. The white Verizon screen comes on and then stays there for a few seconds, and then the screen goes black, and then it restarts the process. I've taken out the battery and also plugged it into the charger but it still happens. Whats wrong?

I have the same problem. Someone I work with said that it's because of water damage, but i know that's not the problem for me. I'm going to try leaving out the battery for a while, but I already tried that a few times with no luck.
Phone turned off one night to a black screen and when turned on it went to the Verizon white screen stayed a few seconds and then turned back off. So I plugged it in to charge thinking that would help and it just remains on the Verizon screen I cant get it to do anything. I put my wifes cell phone battery in my phone and it still wont work, she put mine in her phone and it worked fine so its not the battery. Any suggestions?

My phone does this too but I have seen no solutions. What is the problem the battery feels hot so I know it is charging. What is wrong?
Same exact problem. Of course, our one year warranty ended 2 weeks ago. Changing batteries with another exact phone does not help. Neither does taking the battery out for awhile. The phone did not get wet, and no abuse occurred. It just happened suddenly.

My phone will begin powering-up, but it restarts over and over as if it was shorting itself out. There is a certain key combination that will cause the following to appear: --Download started--

i have same stupid thing happening to my phone, it turns on to the metropcs loading and as soon as its done loading. It turns off and does the exact same thing!!!! gosh its soo damn annoying
