This is symptom of defective red picture tube in TV that needs to be replaced.
Let me know if you want to replace it by yourself to provide you part number info or call tv tech to do the job.
Thanks.

I also have a Sony KP-65WV700 65 in. Rear Projection HDTV Television.
I have a similar problem. I have normal picture and sound for 20 seconds after power on, then get curved red lines and then screen goes completely red, the blank, sound remains on, then auto shut-down with Blink Code 7, Horizontal Deflection Stopped.

If I restart it the same again.

Please help,
Thanks Bill

Sony KP-51WS500 projection tv. Screen is green with curved lines

The green picture tube has an internal short. Happened a lot with that model. The tubes are no longer availible. But a reputable company called Video Display will rebuild the tube completely. But the tube must be pulled and shipped to them. Most repair shops would charge around $400 to $500 for the complete job.

Thin curved lines in sony widescreen

Those sound like what is called "scan lines" and are the result of the way the picture is "drawn" on the face of the screen. Something in the set is allowing too much drive to the screen, as these are usually suppressed during normal operation...accordianman

Pikish Hue and curved colored lines

Sounds like the convergence amp are heating up and going out. you can look for the amps and see if there is a loose connection on the trace and if you can solder you may be able to save them or just replace amps with orginal. This is sometimes caused by moving set around, Set being so heavy it can not take a joult like the direct view sets
