Dark Picture Set starts, sound is good and I can not see the picture. OSD works great and I can see the PIP it is dark too but it can be seen. I've turn up the screen adj. up on the Focus Pack and images in the picture can be seen.

Was the set dead before you replaced the power board?

This is most often a problem with the imaging sensor and no reset is going to repair the part. Also, if replacing it, it needs to be properly calibrated after installed. If you need help with this, this is the place we recommend for the Canons: www.CamerasAndParts.com They are the best for these models, they only work on Canons and they are excellent for repairs. They have a service package for about $90 which takes care of an image problem as you have or you can try emailing them first. As far as service and the quality of work, I wouldn't go anywhere else but them for a Powershot. They are the best for these cameras. Good luck

Sharp CX80H6 Has sound, no picture for TV or AV OSD works

Hi,

This style of failure with the CX80h6 and indeed other CX80 & SX80 series SHARP 80cm sets is usually due to problems with the PIP (picture in picture) sub-board. This small board plugs vertically into the main left hand PCB (seen from rear of set) and is sealed in tin-plate for RF shielding. I've had two CX80h6 sets recently with this exact failure and both had problems with the PIP sub-board. One needed a new regular on the board while the other had a dry joint on the connector. This sub-board is not available from SHARP anymore, but in most cases the failed component is a discrete that usually can be sourced in it's own right. So this sub-board is where I think you should start your fault finding.

It sounds like a color wheel. Could be a fan too.

I contacted my cable provider and he told me the tv defaulted to antena and reran auto set up I get picture but no sound cable man is coming to fix weak signal hope it fixes sound

Warning: The following procedures should be done by an expert.
1.First step is to check the physical condition of the set.Before starting troubleshooting try to resolder the board and find any cold or loss solder.Then after plug the set and see if the filament of the tube glows.If not the trouble is in heater circuit.
2.After seeing the filament if it glows, check the CRT socket and open it.If you can see a sign of terminal decay such as greenish unwanted element on terminal surface,replace the CRT socket.
3.If replacement does remedy the problem check RGB drivers and resolder or replace jungle IC.
4.Try also to adjust the screen adjustment found in the flyback transformer.
5.Another possible cause is the vertical IC.Adjust the screen to full and see if their is a white horizontal line on the screen.If so the problem isin vertical circuit.

More information is required. Your backlight is lit (screen not dark) but I need to know what you have connected to the TV (your sources) and how they are connected. Does the menu/OSD (on screen display) work?

In my experience with the older Sony projection TV's, the video board needs to be replaced and in most cases is no longer available. Even for free the set won't be worth it.

I BOUGHT SAMSUNG TV LE37A456C2D WHEN I BOUGHT IT WAS WORKING PERFECT THEIR BUT WHEN I BRING HOME AND TRY TO START WITH THE OTHER TV POWER CABLE IT'S PICTURE WENT DARK NOW IT'S TOO DARK TO SEE.
