Help! There is no set pattern to this problem. The printer will print fine for several orders then spit out 10 blank labels. Another order it may spit out 5 blank labels between ticket.
Sometimes this is just a dirty printer issue. A common cause is dust collection on the sensor that detects the gap between each label. It finds the gap then knows to print the next label. When it cant find the gap it just keeps trying. Keep a can of compressed air around and blow it out every once in awhile as your printer owners manual recommends :) Also consider us for your labels please
How do you do a printer reset on the TLP2824 Thermal printer?>
Do a printer reset
A printer reset should fix this. It is the solution to most Zebra problems and I have posted the procedure several times.
Hope this helps.
This does not help. We have 2 computers printing to the same tlp 2742 printer. From the secondary computer (that uses the printer as a shared device that's really hooked to the primary computer) the tags always print just fine. If we print from the primary computer (which has the printer hooked directly to it), we have the skipped and blank tag problem. I've tried forcing the print spool to work diff ways (wait to print, start right away, etc), but nothing helps.
I had problem with label skipping but fixed it by removing Spooling documents before printing and I set to Print directly to printer
I dound thjust by trail and error.
sorry, I found this fix by just trial and error wasitng bunch of labels. Do not ask why the printer skips labels while Spooling option is selected :)

Your printer needs to be calibrated and set label lenth in the driver in both printer preference and printer defaults

Same thing happens to me! How to fix?
It prints one then skips 3 or 4 or 5 - each time different amounts then after it prints the last one skips another 10 labels and also skips anywhere between 2 and 10 when it starts.
Also every so often it doesn't print correctly on the label for 2 labels and then corrects itself.
How do you callobrate this machine?
