That error indicates the Drum Temperature Sensor circuit is shorted out. I you have access to the service diagnostics, run the Drum Temperature Sensor test. If it fails, replace the drum temp sensor. If that doesn't solve the problem, replace the sensor wire harness.

I faced with this error when the all print drums have been replaced by new. Then I put old drums and had replaced one by one then I found that magenta drum had a factory defect. I solved this problem by replacing of the old chip to the new drum.

The error code is related to the laser. I never had to replace one yet. You're most likely dealing with a bad drum. Look to see how long the drum has been in the copier, if longer than 21,000 copies then try a new drum. If you just put one in then try another one or put the old one back in to see if the error returns. I learned this the hard way by replacing several expensive components before changing the drum again. It solved the problem. Good luck

You need to follow the instructions that came with the drum as you need to reset the internal counter.
