Passkey How to find your passkey? It was working great and then it turned off so I paired it again and now it wants my passkey. I think its in the booklet when I bought it but that was over 6 months ago.

Where do I input the Bluetooth Passkey

1. Touch Apps . Touch Settings.
2. Turn Bluetooth on . ...
3. Touch Bluetooth to scan for available Bluetooth devices (make sure your device is in pairing mode).
4. Touch the Bluetooth device to select it.
5. Enter the passkey or pair code: 0000 or 1234.
6. Touch the device name again to connect to it if it doesn't connect automatically.

Depending on your computer and any bluetooth devices make sure both have bluetooth are either turned on or made bluetooth discoverable
Bluetooth Pairing

Bluetooth pairing is necessary whenever two Bluetooth devices connect to each other to share resources.

Bluetooth Pairing Service
In most cases, Bluetooth devices are paired only once, and the details of the relationship are saved for later connections.
The pairing service, an integral component of all Bluetooth devices, is responsible for maintaining a list of devices that have made successful connections in the past.
It is essentially a passkey manager remembers the specific details for other trusted Bluetooth devices.
If a user has a reason not to allow automatic connections for specific devices, the Bluetooth pairing service will not store passkey details.


Preparing to Pair Because Bluetooth is a standardized-communication method, making trusted connections between Bluetooth devices is a straight-forward and simple process.
Before attempting to pair two Bluetooth devices for the first time, it is recommended to have both devices fully charged, turned on and Bluetooth enabled.
At least one of the devices must be set to discoverable mode, which means for a short period, the device will be announcing its presence to other devices within its range.

Pairing Bluetooth Devices

Have the second device search for other Bluetooth devices.
There are many types of devices on the market and just as many ways to put your device into discoverable or searching modes.
It is recommended you view the documentation for your specific devices to determine how to enter these modes.
Within 30 seconds, you should see the devices have found each other and a prompt to enter a passkey will be presented.

Bluetooth Pairing Passkey

The passkey is a four-digit number you supply at the time you are establishing your trusted relationship between devices.
If a specific passkey is set by the manufacturer, you can try "0000," or you might have to find the passkey in your device's documentation and enter that instead.
After you enter a passkey, the other device might prompt you to enter the passkey you entered. When the passkey is verified on the other device, the two have been paired.
The Bluetooth device and passkey information are stored using the pairing service so future pairing attempts do not have to be made unless desired as a security precaution.

When you are pairing any two 'smart' devices, such as phones, computers, and such, i.e. devices which act as bluetooth 'hosts', in the device which you will use to start the pairing process, you can choose any digit sequence you can think of (e.g. you can specify the most common passkey used by 'dumb' devices, i.e. 0000 (four zeros)), provided that in the device which is receiving the pairing request, i.e. the other 'smart' device of yours, you specify that same passkey. You don't need to worry if the passkey you choose is too simple (like the one I've suggested above), because, once the devices are paired to each other, all subsequent connections between them will be encrypted.

When you are pairing two 'smart' devices (e.g. phones, computers) with each other, the user starting the pairing procedure may choose any sequence of numbers he/she can think of, as a passkey (e.g. the code which is widely used by headsets, '0000' (four zeros)), provided that the device which receives the pairing request specifies that same passkey.

Normal 0 Go to Control Panel and click on Sound.
Next click Bluetooth Devices.
Click Add button, lower left corner of the Bluetooth Devices window.
Insure batteries are installed.
Press the Connect Button on the Keyboard (Usually located on the under side of your keyboard) this allows Windows to see the keyboard so you can pair the keyboard to the computer.
On the computer choose My Device Is Set Up and Ready To Be Found.
Click NEXT.
The keyboard should appear in the Add Bluetooth Device Wizard Window.
Select your Keyboard and click Next.
When prompted, select Choose a Passkey For Me and click Next.
Windows will generate and display a Passkey.
Type the Passkey specified on the Bluetooth Keyboard
(do not use the keyboards keypad when typing the passkey)
No charters will appear on the monitor when typed, but if you make a mistake, you can backspace.
You must enter the Passkey within 30 seconds.
If you don’t enter the Passkey within 30 seconds, click Back and click Next again.
Once the Passkey is entered, the Keyboard should be connected to the computer.
Finish and follow any on screen instructiond.

that motorola is in the series of bluetooths that all have 0000 for pin numbers and they are NOT changeable.
turn bluetooth off push the button with the phone on it until lited LED turns Purple immediately release and open mic, now it is ready to pair.
then go to the phone tool>bluetooth> search for device enter pin 0000
it will then verify and Voila you are set

The passkey is 0000. If you have a problem, reset the headset. Turn the headset off and hold down the call button for 8 seconds until the headset flashes blue and red signaling that it is in pairing mode for the next 120 seconds. While the headset is in pairing mode, use the phone menu to search for Bluetooth devices and select "220Plantronics." (If the headset is already listed in the Bluetooth menu, delete it before searching to pair the device.) When prompted for a passkey, enter 0000. Headset will falsh blue when paired successfully.

Delete the device. Turn off bluetooth, take out battery for reset. Then try to pair the devices again.

I have the exact problem.. but you try to turn off and on your phone once again.. and then do the pairing instruction.... using the passkey 0000.. then... it works for me again...
