Use your activation or promotion code
Promotion codes for TomTom Services are printed on a voucher which may be included in your product box or distributed by our partners. You can also buy an activation code on a TomTom Services card for some maps and services.
Sometimes you need to enter a code to activate items which are already on your computer or device. Alternatively, TomTom may have pre-installed non-activated content on your device or non-activated content may have been delivered to you on a DVD.
Note: To use a code, you need a computer with an internet connection.
Tip: You will need to log in before you enter your code. If you don't have a MyTomTom account, you will need to create one.
To use your code, do the following:
1. Click Use Your Activation or Promotion Code in the main menu in HOME. Your device and your computer are scanned to check for any items that need activation.
2. If item(s) are found that required activation only, you see them listed ready for immediate use. 3. Enter your code in the text box and click Next. 4. If the item(s) found need to be installed, click Install to download and install them. HOME then downloads and installs the item on your device. If you wish, you can install items at a later time by clicking Update My Device in TomTom HOME.
