you just erased the messages in your phone only
but there are messages still in the sim card
go to messages the options the simcard messages then they will appear so now you can erase them

yeah i had and now have this problem again. Apparently, there is something wrong with the software inside our phone, so we have no choice but to send it in and get it fixed
The problem is that you are probably using your sim memory instead of phome memory. Go to phone settings and find command to switch from sim card memory to phone memory.
