Need a new pulse monitor for Cat eye ergociser

P0404 Dodge - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Position Sensor Performance Early Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) systems component s include and EGR Valve, and Engine Control ?odule (EC?) Controlled Vacuum Switch Valve or EGR Solenoid and an EGR Vacuum ?odulator. Depending on the engine and driving conditions, the EC? will control the EGR Solenoid which will operate the EGR Vacuum ?odulator to regulate the opening and closing of the EGR Valve.
The EGR system on recently built vehicles uses a step motor to control the flow rate of EGR from exhaust manifold. This motor has four winding phases. It operates according to the output pulse signal of the EC?. Two windings are turned ON and OFF in sequence. Each time an ON pulse is issued, the valve opens or closes, changing the flow rate. When no change in the flow rate is needed, the EC? does not issue the pulse signal. ? certain voltage signal is issued so that the valve remains at that particular opening.

Sounds like the belt is loose on the pulleys? Maybe something else, but you have to get inside it to check.

* Refer to the service manual (the EC3200 is almost the same as a EC3000) for hints :Page 4,5,19,20. Read this manual.

* Take out every screw holding the white plastic cover and the crank bottom bracket cover. Also take off the screws that hold the black seat post and handle bar post covers together. Now the covers should come apart to access the guts.
* Inside there is a belt system and chain system.
* Belt system: Check there are no loose nuts on the axles that connect to the pulleys. If there are, try to pull the pulley so that belt is tensioned as you tighten the nut.
* If the plastic teeth are loose on the big belt pulley (that's bad), you may have to try to glue it back to the metal part of the pulley. Don't be sloppy and get glue on the teeth... A runny epoxy may be able to get into the interface between the plastic teeth and metal part.
* If the belt is worn out you may be able to find it with a WWW search or from an industrial supplier like

* Chain system: Check the chain freewheel (the small one) is working correctly.

Hello not sure you ever got an answer, but I'm thinking of buying one myself, on Craigslist. I researched and found this link to the official manual and it says a yellow start card comes with the packaging and it has to be inserted. If your treadmill was struck by a power surge unfortunately there is no way of fixing it, in fact it is a fire HAZARD. Basically a back-flow of electrical current has fried the appliance from the inside.
A good way of checking if this was the problem is to check smaller appliance's around the house that were plugged in around the same time the treadmill stopped working. Even if appliences are turned off at the switch they can still be effected.
If you have no problems with any smaller appliance then we can more or less rule out a power surge. Have you tried dissembling the plug, changing the fuse, moving the treadmill them plugging it in to a different socket? .......yes?
