High-pitched squeal/whistle noise from the cabinet under Maytag gas range. No gas leaks that I can smell. Have tried the following with no results:
1.) Have sniffed all over the range area and cabinet for any gas leaks. Had roommate do the same. Closed doors for awhile, then opened and immediately smelled under the range and still can't smell even faint trace of gas smell.
2.) Unplugged power to range, turned off valve.
3.) Turned on all four burners full-blast to release any possible pressure issue.
4.) Have tapped the metal hose/casing, wiggled it, tapped on the valve on coupling up top.
Any ideas on what to check next before calling appliance repair people?
