Washing machine will not turn, fills and drains okay, drive belt intact, light grey deposit all over inside of machine clicking can be heard from control panel.

New set of brushes, cleaned out all the old deposits from the motor, running like a dream. Drive belt a bit awkward to get back on with limited access.

    Hi

I have removed the drum on my Bosch WL2450 to replace the bearings but i cannot work out how to split it. It has numerous barbed teeth that all need disengaging at the same time.

any advice would be greatly received

Hey check to see if you can move the drum by hand,, if you cant the the bearings on the drum have gone and it is seized ..

If you can turn it by hand then most likely it is the carbon brushes on the motor..

hope this helps

Bosch Maxx 2260 washer won't drain or spin.

Remove the front lower panel, screws underneath. Be prepared for water, drain out from drain hose. Check filter for clogging, clean out. Sometimes when the load is unbalanced & the machine cannot adjust the load it stops. To avoid this make sure your wash is mixed with big and small clothes.
If this does not work remove the rear panel & check belt, should have half inch ‘give’. Still not good, remove belt, unscrew 2 bolts that hold the motor, unplug the motor connector, lever the motor back with a screwdriver. Check the motor brushes (at terminal end of motor), if they are any shorter than 1 cm replace brushes.
