I have the new Kodak Zi8 Digital HD camera.
I just shot some video of a lovely Thanksgiving and uploaded the videos via the ArcSoft MediaImpressions software that was provided by Kodak.
They uploaded fine but when I went to watch them (they were shot in 1080HD) the video playback was very disappointing. The sound worked but the video was stuttering and missing many frames. So I decided to change the association with the video and watched the videos with VLC player. Even worse! Then I tried it with itunes, same thing, bad.
Anyone have this problem and what was the solution?
Thanks in advance.

I hope uploading new firmware would improve the quality of your recording:
Connect the camera with the computer.
Turn the camera on.
Click onto the link and follow the instructions.

If it can be of any help I did manage to find information on how can I eliminate noise during video recording on the Zi8:
Turn off Continuous AF (auto focus) to prevent recording camera noise during video capture. When you turn off Continuous AF, you may notice a narrower area of focus or depth of field, especially if you zoomed to a telephoto position before recording.
This setting remains until you change it, change the Mode dial, or turn off the camera.
Good luck I hope one or both solutions will help the problem
