Can't remember if set does a LED flash when receiving a command? No indication on TV panel. Can remote lose it's TV programming memory? if so - any resets? If infrared receiver is bad - is it easy replaceable? Any thots? Thanks

We moved our TV to a different location and now the remote won't work. Is there a way to troubleshoot? We already changed the batteries and double checked the polarity.

Dish Network controller doesn't work if you happen to pause or stop when the screen is black or on a dark picture. You have to turn TV and control box off then back on to regain controller.

The remote works fine other than this stated problem? What type receiver and TV do you have? Do this just began occurring? Have you checked the batteries to make sure they are fresh? Is this on TV 1 or TV 2? One thing you may try is readdressing the remote to the receiver.

Remote: All Other Remotes
  1. Go to System Info screen (press Menu button 2 times on remote).
  2. Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
  3. Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
  4. Press the pound (#) button.
  5. Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record. Note: If successful, the number selected in step 3 will appear in the System Info screen under Remote Address.

Hello
If you are using its original remote control handset with this set, replacing batteries will poise no problem at all. If remote control does not works properly check the following.

Check to see if there is any object between the TV and the remote control
causing obstruction.
Are batteries installed with correct polarity (+ to +, - to -)?
Correct remote operating mode set: TV, VCR etc.?
The light at its side

Illuminates the remote control

Can't seem to switch to input with the remote or go to any channel to use my DVD player

Hello

Check first if the Remote Control hanset emits infrared rays or not. Infrared rays are invisioblw to us. There is an easy way to check it. if you have a cellphone with camera option, set it to camera mode, and place the remote hanset against its lens about 1 feet away or so, and press each button on the remote control. You can see the infrared indication on the screen of your cellphone.
If it is Ok, just reset the remote control.

You might need to reset the remote: remove batteries and press the number 1 button for at least 60
seconds. Release the 1 button, replace the batteries, and (if necessary) program the remote again.

Check also for

Something might be between the remote and the remote sensor on the component. Make sure there is a

clear path.

• Maybe the remote isn't aimed directly at the component (DVD, TV, VCR) that you're trying to operate.

• Maybe remote is not in TV Mode. Press the TV button so remote will control TV.

• Maybe batteries in remote are weak, dead, or installed incorrectly. Put new batteries in the remote. (Note,
if you remove the batteries, you may have to reprogram the remote to operate other components.)

How to Use the Remote Control to Complete

the Initial Setup

The technical term is "Navigation"- how you move through the

on-screen menus. The method is the same throughout the menu

screens: highlight your choice and select it.

To highlight a menu item, press the arrow buttons on the remote

to highlight one of the items listed on the screen. Use the up or

down arrow button to move up or down. Use the right or left

arrow button to move right or left.

To select the item that you've highlighted, press OK.

Note: Highlighted means that the menu item stands out from other
menu items on the list (appears darker, brighter, or a different color).

Turn on the TV

Press TV on the remote, or press POWER on the TV's front panel.

Note: Pressing the TV button not only turns on the TV, but puts the remote

into TV mode. "TV mode" means that the buttons on the remote control

operate the TV's functions.

Complete the Initial Setup

The menu system in your TV allows the TV's features to work

properly. The first time you turn on your TV, the SETUP screen

appears with Language highlighted. The default language is

English. To choose another language, press the right arrow
button on the remote.

If these doesn't work, the infrared sensor inside your Tv has got damaged and should be replaced. OK.
