Hi, I am wondering if I can make it lounder because I turned it up to max but it still not that loud. I connected HDMI output from HD-DVD, Blu-ray Player to HDMI input to Sony TV and use optical output from Sony TV to optical input to Sony DAV-IS10. Thanks in advance.
I believe that some systems automatically attenuate the signals coming in from audio sources. This is to protect the system from analogue spikes. when using digital connections you must locate this setting and turn it off.
I think its the fact that the speakers are pretty tiny, even tho BOSE has proved that size doesnt matter. i will agree i have a descent size home and i have to max it out all the time to watch a movie
just a design flaw IMHO.

The Sound is not loud enough
At a volume of 65 the sound is just okay for listening a movie
Same problem, just purchased the systen DAV-IS10. Not satisfied with the sound. Sound starts from 45 and at max it has just normal volume.
I am totally dissatisfied with the performance but at the same time I am in love with its look.
Just bought my system. Connected it up today and have the same problem. We have quite a large house but below 25 volume you cannot hear it! Once again you have to get to 50-60 for reasonable sound. We have a B&O tv with fantastic sound am I expecting too much? PS im not into massive volumes so not deaf!
