Please help me fix my MP3 player NWZ-S615F.
Error message reads: Cannot play; the license is expired
Thanks
My problem wasn't fixed and I uploaded music from my OWN CD's and it still said "unable to play music; license is expired"
HELP Please!
I was experiencing similar probs with trying to transfer original CD's to my Sony Walkman MP3.
Try the following:
Open Windows Media Player - Select RIP / Options / RIP Music Tab & then uncheck the Copy Protect Music option box.
Hope this works.
I went to www.sony.com and was able to find the solution. If your songs were downloaded from services similar to Napster then you will have to log back into the service to refresh the licenses on the songs. If you no longer are subscribing to the service then you will need to delete the songs from your player. If you need further information you can find it on the Sony website.

I am having the same problem. Any help is appreciated.
I'm receiving the exact same message and I can't seem to find a solution.
I logged onto www.sony.com and was able to find the solution. If you have downloaded songs from sites such as Napster, the songs are licensed. In order to keep this error message from coming up you have connect your device to the site you used to refresh the license. If you are no longer a subscriber to the service, then you will have to delete the songs from your player. You can get more information by going to the sony website.
